Marketing Events Manager

We are looking for a motivated and engaging Marketing Events Manager with excellent organisational and people skills to design and run our calendar of marketing events.

What we do

Hubbub is a 5 year-old education-technology startup, and Europe’s largest provider of crowdfunding technology to universities and nonprofits. We’re a team of 14, based on City Road between Angel and Old Street stations. We work with some great institutions, including the universities of Oxford, York, Manchester and Southampton. Right now, our focus is on growing our business in the US, where we have recently acquired our first 5 clients.

Your role

As Marketing Manager, you will deliver our calendar of marketing events, from conception to execution. This will include:

• Designing our events calendar with the VP Marketing and our partners

• Deliver a series of conferences, roundtables and webinars in the US and UK on time, within budget, that meet (and hopefully exceed) expectations

• Creating campaigns to drive event attendance

• Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project

• Managing operational functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently

• Travelling to and project managing events

• Initiating excellent relationships with potential clients through networking and follow-ups

Requirements

• You have outstanding communication skills, and are able to build strong relationships quickly.

• You have experience managing excellent events.

• You have attention to detail - with the ability to identify the key features of events that make them successful.

• You are a creative thinker - excited about thinking bigger and coming up with ideas to grow the marketing events function at Hubbub.

• You have exceptional organisational skills, experience of meeting deadlines, and you aren’t afraid to chase people to achieve your goals

Nice-to-haves

• You’re an engaging public speaker

• You have an interest in digital fundraising

• You have knowledge of or experience working in the fundraising sector
